Challenge to Win the Asian Cup for the First Time in 64 Years
The national soccer team, led by head coach Jurgen Klinsmann, has begun to build up its body in earnest before challenging to win the Asian Cup for the first time in 64 years.
On the 26th, the Korean national soccer team convened 16 players, including domestic players who finished their K-League schedule and overseas players who finished their first half of the year, at a hotel in downtown Seoul for their first training.
The Korea Football Association explained that the convocation training will focus on physical fitness indoors without outdoor training.
On the first day of training, the players relaxed at the hotel's fitness center and conducted training according to their physical conditions.
Cho Hyun-woo Ulsan, Song Bum-keun Shonan Belmare, Kim Young-kwon, Jung Seung-hyun, Kim Tae-hwan, Seol Young-woo Ulsan, Kim Jin-soo Jeonbuk, Lee Ki-je Suwon, Kim Joo-sung Seoul, Lee Jae-sung Mintz, Hwang In-beom Turbena Zvezda, Jung Woo-young Stuttgart, Moon Sun-min, Park Jin-seop Jeonbuk, Lee Soon-min Gwangju, and Cho Kyu-sung Mit Whelan will participate in the domestic convocation training. 파워볼실시간
Coach Klinsmann plans to announce the final list of 26 players for the Asian Cup on the 28th and then leave for Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with the national team players on the 2nd of next month to conduct local adaptation training.
Key European players such as Son Heung-min, Kim Min-jae, Lee Kang-in, and Hwang Hee-chan are expected to join the Clinsman team in Abu Dhabi.
The final mock test will be held against Iraq in Abu Dhabi on January 6.
Afterwards, Klinsmann will enter Doha, Qatar, on the 10th.
In Group E, Korea will play against Bahrain at 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 15, 2024, followed by Jordan at 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 20, and Malaysia at 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 25. Korea is aiming for the Asian Cup title for the first time in 64 years since 1960.
